Anderson Ridge

Step into the heart of Anderson Ridge, where our charming barn, steeped in history, tells a story that spans decades. Originally erected in the 1970s, the barn served as a vital hub for Hiwassee Dairy, linked with Hiwassee College, nurturing cattle and storing hay long after the dairy's closure. The echoes of its agricultural past lingered until 2021 when the vision for Anderson Ridge took root.

In 2019, amidst discussions of creating a short-term rental business, Scott and Melissa found themselves searching for the perfect property. Fast forward to the beginning of the Covid shutdowns in 2020, and a serendipitous idea emerged from Justin and Kimberly—a family business. Inspired by Kimberly's dream of being a wedding coordinator and their shared success in hosting various celebrations, the idea of transforming an old barn into a wedding venue captivated the entire family.

After months of exploring properties across Monroe and McMinn counties, the journey came full circle when they stumbled upon a property with a familiar white feed barn on Anderson Road, once owned by Scott's father, Doug. The connection ran deep, with Melissa even having listed the property for sale during her time as a realtor. In January 2021, the family closed the deal, marking the beginning of a transformative adventure.

Scott, the unsung hero of construction, meticulously brought the barn to life, guided by a not-so-fancy blueprint Kimberly printed from excel. The process unfolded with dedication and passion, even amidst the booking of our first wedding during the construction phase! Communication turned visions into reality, and today, we consider our spacious creation a blessing, eagerly anticipating the countless special moments that will unfold within these walls.

Anderson Ridge is more than a venue; it's a culmination of dreams, history, and a family's unwavering commitment to creating a space where celebrations come to life. Join us in this journey, as we look forward to being a part of your cherished moments for years to come.
